Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-07-06
These terms govern your access to and use of Astroworld Chat (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using the Service for a business, you accept these terms on its behalf.
The service
Astroworld Chat is an AI chatbot platform that answers questions from a knowledge base you provide, across a chat widget and connected channels. We may improve, change, or add features over time. We provide the Service on a software-as-a-service basis; you do not receive a copy of the software.
Chat data and processing
When you chat with a bot powered by Astroworld Chat, your messages may be stored and processed to provide, secure, and improve the service, including answering your question and, where the business has enabled them, remembering returning visitors and giving the business's team insights about the conversation (such as tone, intent and a lead score). Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat. The business you are chatting with is the data controller. How data is handled, your rights, and how to erase what is remembered (you can type "forget me" in the chat) are described in our Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
Accounts and eligibility
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be able to form a binding contract and use the Service only in line with applicable law.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, deceptive, or abusive content.
- Upload content you do not have the right to use, or that infringes others' rights.
- Attempt to break security, reverse engineer, or disrupt the Service or other users.
- Resell or expose the Service in a way that competes with it without permission.
- Send personal data you are not allowed to process to the Service.
You are responsible for the knowledge base you upload and for the answers your configured bot gives to your visitors.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. Prices are shown on the pricing page and may change with notice for future billing periods. Plan limits (such as conversations per month) apply as described on the pricing page. Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of applicable taxes.
Some plans are priced per seat and per AI resolution. On those plans your monthly fee has three parts: a base plan fee; a per-seat charge for team members beyond the seats your plan includes, at €15 per additional seat per month; and your AI usage. Each plan includes a monthly allowance of AI resolutions. An AI resolution is a conversation your bot handles. Resolutions are counted by the model your bot uses to answer: a Standard-model resolution counts as one, a Smart-model resolution counts as 10, and a Premium-model resolution counts as 30, because the smarter models cost more to run. Your included allowance is shown on the pricing page and in your dashboard.
If you go over your included allowance the bot never stops answering. Resolutions beyond the allowance are billed as metered overage in arrears, at €0.01 per resolution (counted with the same model weighting above), and added to your next invoice. Your subscription renews automatically as described below, and each renewal covers your base plan and any additional seats, together with any usage overage from the period just ended. You can see your seat count, model tiers and resolution usage in the dashboard at any time.
Free trial
New accounts can start a 7-day free trial. The Starter trial needs no payment method and is limited to 20 conversations; the Pro and Business trials require a payment method up front and convert to a paid subscription automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel before then. Enterprise is sales-led (contact us). After the trial each plan renews at its standard rate shown on the pricing page.
The free trial is available once per person or organisation. Aliases of the same email address (for example with a plus tag or extra dots) count as the same address, and deleting and re-creating an account does not grant a new trial. We may refuse a trial where we reasonably determine it has already been used or that automated abuse is taking place. See our privacy policy for how we determine this without retaining your address.
Auto-renewal and cancellation
Paid subscriptions renew automatically and the renewal is charged to your saved payment method at the start of each new period. To avoid being charged you must cancel at least 3 days before your trial ends or before your next renewal date. You can cancel anytime from the billing page; cancellation stops future renewals and your plan remains active until the end of the current paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable.
Your content and ownership
You keep all rights to the content you upload and to your visitor conversations. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and process that content to operate the Service for you. We do not sell your data and we do not use your visitor conversations to train our own models. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement.
Availability and support
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance and may suspend access if needed to protect the Service or other users. Support is provided by email; Business and Enterprise plans receive priority support.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. AI answers are generated from the knowledge you provide and may contain mistakes; you are responsible for reviewing how your bot is configured. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Astroworld is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you materially breach these terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If we make material changes we will give reasonable notice, for example by email or in the dashboard. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the competent Dutch courts have jurisdiction, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
